Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik,  Government of Odisha launched “Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation Scheme” (Kalia) on 21 December 2018.

From the financial year 2018-19, the state government started “Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation” – Kalia.

This is by far the largest individual beneficiary scheme in the history of Odisha.

In the beneficiary first, second, and third phase list, farmers will get financial assistance from the Kalia scheme ranging from Rs 4000 /- to Rs 10,000 /- per year.

Eligible Farmers and landless agriculture laborers can check the new beneficiary list of Kalia Yojana district and village wise from the official website of Kalia Yojana at kalia.odisha.gov.in.

The state government of Odisha has launched the scheme for farmers, farmers, crops, and landless agricultural laborers.

Beneficiary farmers will get financial assistance of Rs 4,000 / – to Rs 10000 / – per annum for the Kalia scheme.

Odisha Kalia Yojana Budget 2020-21

In the previous year 2019, more than 43 lakh farmers have benefited through this scheme. The Government of Odisha has now launched the Kalia Yojana through the Centre’s Prime Minister Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana. In the year 2020, Rs. 10,000 to all beneficiaries

Detail benefits of  Yojana:

1.Benefits for cultivation under the KALIA scheme?

In five seasons, the financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 / – for each farming family will be given to small and marginal farmers so that farmers can purchase items like seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and use the aid for labor and other investments. The scheme has been implemented from the current rabi season 2018-19.

2.benefit for landless agricultural household?

Financial assistance of Rs. 12500 / – will be provided for each landless farm for small goat rearing unit, mini-layer unit, duck unit, fishing kit for fishermen, mushroom cultivation and bee keeping for farming related activities. Etc. This will especially benefit the SC and ST population in our state.

3. Scope for financial assistance to vulnerable agricultural household?

What is Kalia yojana

Kalia Yojana is a package in the interest of farmers. Kalia means “farmer support for livelihood and income growth”. The Government of Odisha has launched this scheme to boost agricultural prosperity and reduce poverty.

  1. i) Small and marginal farmers are eligible for benefits in support of farmers for farming.

iii) Weaker agricultural houses covering vulnerable farmers / landless agricultural laborers are eligible for financial assistance under the Kalia scheme.

  1. iv) Weak farming / landless agricultural laborers include old age, disability, disease or any other reason.
  2. v) Out of the above three components, assistance to farmers for farming, livelihood support to landless farming houses and financial assistance to weaker agricultural households, a beneficiary will get only one benefit as per eligibility.
  3. vi) Interest-free crop loans, along with life insurance assistance to farmers and landless agricultural laborers, are for all categories of beneficiaries under the Kalia scheme.

KALIA BARTA is an information service being set up by the state government to disseminate information about the KALIA scheme to farmers. It will be automatically registered with the government. All information about the Kalia scheme will be sent from time to time via SMS and voice message to his phone number.
